For the past few weeks, Conductor Max has found a new obsession with "choo choos." It actually started several months ago when he sat still for an entire 3 minutes to watch a video clip on Disney Channel called CHOO CHOO SOUL, but hit a new peak when Nanny and Papa took him to ride the train at Stone Mountain. So we made our annual trip up to Blowing Rock this weekend, knowing that a trip to Tweetsie Railroad would bring good times for Max (and of course Kinsey.) 8 train rides later, our predictions had materialized. Granny and Sherry came along again and we were so lucky that my cousin Catherine and her precious baby Graham met us for the day too. At 7 months old, that little buckaroo was a trooper! He wasn't afraid of the train or the gunfights between the cowboys and indians one bit! What a great weekend and I'm sure there will be another Tweetsie trip in our near future!!!

you're looking so tough in the second pic Elizabeth....someone klooks like they've been getting up to knock out 6milers in July heat!!!! and the gun and holster is nice too :-) I love Blowing rock- did you know I worked at parkway Cafe at the shops on the parkway right after college- what a fun place!
