Tri for Kids

Kinsey and Max both decided they wanted to give a try at the YMCO Kids Triathalon today.  They both did GREAT and worked their tails off.  They were both humbled greatly at the other kids and how hard they work at training for these things (especially the swim portion) but I think both of them learned a lot and enjoyed the experience.

Myrtle Beach week--what can I say?  This is one of my favorite weeks of the year.  Hanging out with my aunts, uncles, cousins (and their kids), good eating, fun playing, and lots of beach relaxing.  We topped out at 24 people the Saturday of Memorial Weekend, which is always one of my favorite nights as well--the night Jack does a low country boil for all of us.  Already looking forward to next year!!!

Last Day

Kinsey in DC

For her upcoming 10th birthday, Kinsey had the amazing opportunity to go to our nation's capital with her Nanny and Papadad.  The trio had a wonderful trip from the Natural History Museum to the Washington Monument trekking all over the city.  They even squeezed in some time at the hotel pool.  We sure missed her, though!  Thank you N & P!

 

Phantom

While Nanny and Papadad were in DC with Kinsey, Jack and I got lucky and were able to use their season tickets to the Peace Center in Greenville.  This weekend's performace was The Phantom of the Opera and we enjoyed a wonderful brunch and afternoon at the theater with our friends and neighbors, Chris and Rainey.

Night Crawlers

Last night, we had the opportunity to experience a night at the Atlanta Zoo in a program call Night Crawlers.  Max's cub scout troop was able to bring their family along for a behind-the-scenes campout and tour.  We all had a really fun time from the flashlight scavenger hunt at the reptile house, the backstage visit to the kitchen and "food prep" area, to the private morning walk around the zoo.

Muffins for Mom

I had the BEST morning with the super cutie as his Muffins for Moms celebration.  We enjoyed a lovely breakfast, some time with our sweeties, and then a BIG surprise as each kid read his mom a poem that they had written about them.  It was PRECIOUS!

Fighters

The kids and I had an awesome time trying out classes at a boxing club in Athens last night.  I can hardly move today but it was a wonderful workout and I hope we end up going back soon!
