This morning, we met up with the Griners to do a little "farming" at two different berry patches. Got a pretty good haul, if I do say so!

Keowee Celebration

Big news to celebrate...Max's cast is off and pins are out! To commemorate his big announcement, we took a little trip to Keowee Springs to finally get wet this summer. Everyone had a great time at Nanny and Papadad's from catching fish to trail riding. What a fun weekend!

Forever Friends

While Kinsey was away at camp, Max and I enjoyed some time at home with Granny, plus a special visit from my old high school best bud, Erin, and her two precious boys. The three boys hit it off immediately and became instant friends. Although the visit was short, the memories of seeing each other for the first time in over 6 years will remain. Love you guys!

Fiesta!!!

HOLA! For her 9th birthday, Kinsey was absolutely SURE she wanted to have a Mexican Fiesta, complete with sombreros and moustaches. She got just what she wanted and she and 15 of her friends enjoyed chips and queso, pinanta fun, and of course, an awesome sombrero cake courtesy of Senor Jack! We were so luck to have all grand and great grandparents to celebrate her big day with us! Happy Birthday, Chica!

Girl Scout Campout/Rainout

This week was Girl Scout Day Camp for Kinsey and some of her Junior Cadet pals. After 2 days of crafts, games, and prep-work, I met the 9 girls and leaders at the church and headed out for a 2-night campout about an hour away. We had a wonderful time swimming, hiking, building fires, and cooking as well as visiting an organic garden and harvesting potatoes. Unfortunately, our trip got cut short when a huge storm his our site and soaked most of our gear along with scaring a few of the girls. Our spirits were dampened, but we still have the great memories from our trip!

A little rain couldn't stop these two little entrepreneurs from trying to earn a buck--$25 to be exact. We have some pretty generous neighbors! :)

Mountain Weekend

Hot Springs, NC...Family Reunion time. We had a great weekend staying at the Hot Springs Resort and Campgrounds and enjoying lots of family time with the Patrick clan. Heading home, we drove the Blue Ridge Parkway and stopped for a little 4-mile waterfall hike.
