In today's busy world, this blog has become a way to share our lives with friends and family as well as personally journal thoughts and ideas of our day-to-day adventures.

Corn Dawgs--Pumpkin Style
Corn Dawgs had been our favorite ice skating venue for a few years but we had never tried out their fall festivities. Since today was Scout Day, we decided to try it out to get the family discount (and getting a patch was a bonus.) There were so many fun things to do and keep the kids busy, from the corn maze to the petting zoo. When the rain set in at evening, that only added to the excitement of the afternoon!
Round Three--GO!
Kinsey and her best bud met for coffee and breakfast this morning then headed out to Bishop for the opening meet of the UGA Equestrian Team. The moms and gals enjoyed watching the hunter ring and the newest addition to the team, the western riders as they took top spot over previously #1 ranked Texas A&M. After the meet, we took Sophia to meet Kinsey's pony and took turns riding him then headed home to meet the boys for some more fall fun!

Georgia Girls
After a nice morning run, I got to spend some more quality time with my "Sole Sisters" and Jack at a very posh, invitation-only tailgate at the beautiful student center next to the stadium. The game was a nail-biter with the outcome we were hoping for making for a great, great day!

Georgia Trifecta
We began our UGA Triple Crown with our first ever Georgia Women's Soccer game with Max while Kinsey was at a sleepover. Postgame entertainment included Max's request of pizza and frozen yogurt of course!

Dare to be FREE
We have had the best time as the summer months fade into fall enjoying our free rides with Joe. We have had some quite nights in the field and silly times after lessons and even Max is learning to trot the trusty steed on his on.

Just another Sunday afternoon...
This afternoon, the four of us headed to Athens to show Jack the fun bike road we had found. 4 miles of biking with a little hiking on the side made for a beautiful afternoon!

US Constitution Day
Kinsey's first troop meeting this year was very special as it fell on US Constitution Day. The troop traveled downtown after their meeting to the courthouse where the DAR held a special ceremony followed by the firing of a real (LOUD) cannon. Max and I were lucky to get there just in time!

A fun night game as we welcomed Mizzou to the SEC and the kids first game of the season against Florida Atlantic. Gotta love our Dawgs with their undefeaterd record!

High Point Farm Fall Hunter Show
Our favorite riding team had a great home show this morning racking up fou 2nds, a 4th, and two 7ths. The biggest obstacle they overcame was a big, dark, thunderstorm during the last class. Very proud of the duo! :)

Commit to the G
We had a great afternoon with friends cheering on the Dawgs in their first game of the season. We had a great tailgating spot with yummy goodies and got the lucky opportunity to bring the players out onto the field. Looking forward to a fabulous season!

Geitner Farm Fun
It's been a couple of years, but the Geitner Family Fun Weekend was back in action this year! After Kinsey's horse show (and Max's morning at his Maddie's birthday party,) we headed up the mountains for some swimming, BBQ, and bluegrass fun. We had a lovely spot to pitch our tent after the band broke down, right next to their house and the waterfall and it was a beautiful night to be outdoors. Sunday mornings highlights were watching the kids swim on super-ponies, Pork Chop and Peanut and sliding down the rock for hours! The best of all was hanging out with all of the family and watching the precious little cousins run around the farm in delight! Love it!
Four Seasons Show
Kinsey's second show season is beginning to come to an end, with only 2 more shows until Finals. She had a really good morning Saturday in a big show in Madison that was both local and state sanctioned. She placed 3rd and 4th out of 12, only being beat by state ranked girls in the TRM and had a great run in Crossrail Hunter, barely edged out for Reserve Champ with a 2nd and two 3rd places. Way to go guys!

Trouble A-brewing!
This is Max's new, um, "friend." They are a bit obsessed with each other. We are trying to encourage their friendship and not include any romantic tones with it, but geez, they are making it difficult. He rode his bike to her house the other night (in his PJ's) to give her a pack of gummies. Then tonight, she came over to play and brought him several pictures she had drawn, some of hearts that said "Once upon a time" across the top. The even grabbed each other's hand as the walked into church tonight! This cannot be good!!!

Happy Birthday Bryce-man!
Party number two of the weekend was another pool party, but this one had the bonus of having a firetruck at the pool. The kids had a wonderful time celebrating the big THREE with our preciuos next door neighbor and his big red truck! Love you guys!

Pool Party Weekend
So our weekend is looking up to be full of pool parties. The first was at the Georgia Aquatic Center (a first for us) and was for Kinsey's friend, however, the mom was kind enough to invite Max to stay and play with the rest of the kids. I think he had more fun than anyone else there!

B2S: 2012 Edition
Today marked the first day of third grade and kindergarten for Kinsey and Max. It was a big day because they are now at the same school for the first time (and for three more years) AND Max got to ride Mr. John's big bus, that he has been anxiously waiting to ride for the past three years! The both had wonderful first day and love their new teachers and their new after school program.
