Perfectly, Pleasantly Polished

Kinsey had been dreading her spring formal all year, but it actually turned out wonderful, and I *think* she might have even enjoyed herself tonight.  She was polite and pleasant all day, including having her hair fixed and we loved watching her shag, foxtrot and boogie all night!

This great group of kids was honored with lunch and an "awards banquet" to celebrate the end of the hand bell season!  Kinsey won the "Shake" award for her fun personality!

What a fun weekend we have had celebrating our "Baby Max" turning 8 this weekend!  It began with lunch at school with Nanny and Papadad, celebratory dinner out with all the grandparents, trampoline fun all day Saturday and then a BIG Sunday at Andretti Kart Racing!

Lightning Fast

Great day for all four Patrick's at the 3rd Annual MBMS Lightning 5K. First place finishes for the girls, third place for the boys!

Let it Snow!

We were fortunate to get a LITTLE glimpse of snow this morning.  No snow day, but a nice flurry, none the less!

Derby Day

Well, this cute cub scout didn't qualify for regionals, but he did place 1st or 2nd in all of his heats and had a great time racing his shark car!

Girls and Ponies

Kinsey had a sleepover last night and I took the girls out to the barn today to pay  the Wonder Pony a visit! 

 

Frog Hop

This was our second year competing in the Sandy Creek 1-mile and 5K and the Patrick's were successful again. Max was the overall winner of the 1-mile while Kinsey and I both won our age groups in the 5K!

4H DPA

A few weeks ago, all 5th graders in our county participated in the 4H CPA. This was a mostly research-based assignment involving a visual aid and a four-minute presentation. 

Kinsey won first place in her category of Wildlife with her project on red pandas which qualified her to move on to the district level, or DPA.

She and several classmates spent the day at Rock Eagle 4H Center presenting to audiences of around 20 and also getting to explore the facilities a bit.

Kinsey walked away with a third place finish at the competition and had a wonderful time doing it!

 

 

 

 



Disney DREAM Come True

We just got home from an amazing weekend aboard the Disney Dream cruise ship.  We spent three wonderful nights in our beautiful stateroom as we travelled to Nassau and Castaway Cay, Disney's private island.  Highlights included a day at Atlantis Resort complete with dolphin swimming for Kinsey and water sliding for Max and swimming and bike riding around Castaway Cay in the beautiful sun.  Other favorites were the amazing nightly shows on board the ship, the outstanding service, and the great dining experience.  We are definitely hooked and want to go back for more someday soon!!!
