In today's busy world, this blog has become a way to share our lives with friends and family as well as personally journal thoughts and ideas of our day-to-day adventures.
Against North Texas, that is! What a fun day Jack and I had taking the kids to Waffle House followed by their first game of the season. And what true Bulldog fans these two were. Gooooo Dawgs!
Girls Horse Weekend...What a fun time we had at the 5th HJ Fox Series horse show. Kinsey had lots of fans cheering her on, from fellow riders, to Nan and Granddaddy, and even Nanny spent the weekend with us. The little horse girl did FABULOUS winning a first and 2 seconds (overall Grand Champion) in Junior Beginner, a second in the Crossrail Medal class (her first time jumping with SCEC) and Champion of the Equitation Challenge against 10 older girls and women. Good job Kins and Smooch!
Opening weekend of college football--although the Dawgs lost in a heartbreaker to Clemson last night, that didn't stop the gang from getting together and having some fun!
What a wonderful weekend with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins at Lake Keowee. We enjoyed a family trail ride, tubing, skiing, swimming, mud wrestling and just-plain-visiting with one another. Until next time...
What a dreary day it was for horse showing, but you know what? Kinsey and I had the best time in Conyers. Her weekend started with the AWESOME opportunity of getting to do her warm-ups Friday evening in the Grand Prix Arena built for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. What a thrill to watch her in the huge arena. And things just improved from there. Despite the rainy forecast, the temperatures were PERFECT--even fall-like--which is crazy for mid August in Georgia. Kinsey rode Smooch again and the pair were nearly flawless, earning them 3 firsts, a second and Grand Champion honors. So great to see our growing girl enjoying herself so much with this barn.
What a wonderful last-weekend-of-summer we had at Stone Mountain Park! We had a beautiful camp spot, met up with the Sherrill crew to explored the Crossroads, hiked the rock, swam, watched the laser show, and visited the Antebellum Plantation!
Time to get ready for the first day of school this week! :/
