Knoxville ROX!

What a great time we had celebrating cousin Thomas' 6th birthday in Tennessee this weekend! The kids had so much fun splashing in the pool and eating his yummy treasure chest cake on Saturday. Later that night, we had a fun dinner overlooking the river. Sunday, I enjoyed a nice, cold, training run on the Greenway. One of the highlights of the trip was our afternoon at the Knoxville zoo. We practically had the whole place to ourselves and the cousins had a great time enjoying each other's company and talking about all the animals. Can't wait to go back and do it again. Thanks, guys!

Not really, we had the day off for MLK day. But we did have fun with Reesie and Thomas even though the Gladiators got beaten by Greenville.

AAHJA Banquet

All of Kinsey's hard work this past show season paid off tonight at the year end awards banquet. Kinsey had a huge night (literally) as she received her TRM High Point trophy, which came with a Champion Ribbon and a beautiful wooden grooming box. It was such a fun night celebrating her accomplishments!

Birthday 5K

After an extremely busy birthday week, Saturday night we celebrated by running the 1st Annual MBMS Lightning Bolt 5K at my school. The whole family ran and did very well. Kinsey shaved several minutes off of her last 5K time and ran in under 40 minutes. I also had a first when I won my age group along with running pal, Teresa. Afterwards, Teresa hosted a birthday bash at her house, complete with this yummy ice cream cake. It was a wonderful day to celebrate the completion of a wonderful year!

One final hurrah with the Griners as we celebrated the 12th day of Christmas in the ATL. Oh what fun!!!

New ride

The story of Joe has come to an end as our year-long lease is up. Kinsey will probably still ride him every now and again, but she has moved beyond what he can do for her. With the close of this door, we wait to see what lies ahead. In the meantime, Kinsey enjoyed riding pretty Jasmine for the first time today.

Dawg Bowl

We wrapped up our trip with a gorgeous afternoon of great football as the Bulldogs finished up an exciting season with a great win over Nebraska. Back in the car to head to work in the morning! :/
