So Max is a Rockhound this season. They're first game was last night (which they won and Max had a double) but it was rainy weather, so I didn't get any pics. Max is a very consistent hitter and hit another double tonight, but his team lost and he learned the hard way that he needs to practice his fielding. GO ROCKHOUNDS!
In today's busy world, this blog has become a way to share our lives with friends and family as well as personally journal thoughts and ideas of our day-to-day adventures.

Poster Child!
Max had his first project assignment and boy did he LOVE it! I thought I'd have to help him with neatness and aligning, but turns out he's kind of a neat freak like that. Other than a few cutting tasks, this project was all HIM!

It starts...
I've been wanting to mount up for a while since Kinsey started riding at SC (the riders there have really inspired me that there's no such thing as "too old"). So today, I gave in and had my very first lesson on Guido. It was GREAT!

UGA vs. Troy
What a fantabulous fun fall day in Athens! We had a great brunch tailgate with Reesie, Joe, and Addison. We had the SPECIAL treat of getting to walk IN the Dawg Walk with the team, and the kid enjoyed playing in the creek up until game time. It was a great victory over Troy and a fun day all around! Next up, Tennessee!!!

HJ Fall Classics
Another fun, fabulous weekend at the International Horse Park in Conyers. Kinsey and Robyn had their best weekend together with 2 Grand Champions and 2 Reserve Champions. So excited to see a hint of fall headed out way. Next show...HALLOWEEN!!!

These two handsome scouts had a fun time working on their shooting and archery skills while Kinsey and I were in Conyers today.

Mountain Holiday
Jack surprised us this morning with the idea of heading up to North Georgia for a day of mountain fun. We first hit Wildcat Creek for a picnic and some exploring. We headed down the creek a bit to the famous "sliding rock" where the kids enjoyed lots of slips and slides down this fun waterfall.
Next, we left Wildcat and headed over to the Moccasin Creek State Park for a 4 mile hike on the Hemlock Falls trail. We took several splash stops and photo ops until we finally ended up at the largest fall, which I guess is the namesake for the trail.
Finally, we took the scenic route home and stopped through Alpine Helen, where we enjoyed dinner on the river and a visit to the fudge store and the toy store. Heading back to the car resulted in the biggest surprise of the day--a large black bear dumpster diving in our parking lot, only YARDS away from our car. It was a breath-taking, heart-stopping experience for sure, but very neat indeed!
