What a fun time enjoying a couple of inches of snow in Georgia--such a rare treat!
In today's busy world, this blog has become a way to share our lives with friends and family as well as personally journal thoughts and ideas of our day-to-day adventures.

Timber Ridge
Kinsey and I enjoyed a beautiful (but COLD) weekend outside of Atlanta at Girl Scout's Timber Ridge Campgrounds. Both the 4th and 5th grade troops combined for the weekend to learn skills like rope-tying and fire-building. We also completed a fun scavenger hunt in the camp, took a "flashlight-free" night hike, roasted marshmallows and made S'mores and just enjoyed each other's company. Love my little scout! :)

Mission Accomplished: ACT complete
Kinsey was honored to be selected earlier this year by the Duke Talent Search for her excellent standardized test scores in 3rd grade. One of the benefits is the opportunity to take the ACT Explore test. This kid wasn't phased at all by going to a huge school an hour away and being dropped off for the 3+ hour test. Way to go kiddo!

Snowman Mix Up
Kinsey had snack this week and wanted to do something a little creative. Found this cute idea on Pinterest!

Vet, Jr
On this beautiful MLK day, we spent the morning helping Kinsey finish collected data for her science fair project on heart rates of different animals. What a smart, young, budding scientist we have!
