In today's busy world, this blog has become a way to share our lives with friends and family as well as personally journal thoughts and ideas of our day-to-day adventures.

Freckles
Max had a school project this week to read a story, do a character analysis report and then create the character using a pie pumpkin. We had the best time this week reading and talking about Freckle Juice. Perfect story for my little Freckles! :)
Fall Family Fun
What a gorgeous (chilly) day we had in the mountains with our cousins! We sure do love getting to hang out with these precious families. :)

Woof, Neigh, Boo
This weekend marked the last show of the year in the HJ Fox series that Kinsey has been a part of since riding at SCEC. They really go all out for the Halloween Classics, including a dog/owner costume contest, a dog derby race, and last, but certainly not least, the BIG horse/rider costume contest and trick-or-treat. We were so happy to have Granny with us for the weekend to get to see her girl ride. Kinsey did great showing all weekend despite some setbacks, including her first fall in a show (and her first fall off of Smooch). Highlights of the weekend included placing 3rd in the dog contest and 7th (out of approximately 30) in the horse costume contest. Fun weekend!

Apples and Amicalola
We spent an AMAZING family day up in Ellijay today! We found a crazy-fun apple orchard (crazy-busy, too) with tons for the kids to do from petting zoos and playgrounds to cow milking and bull "riding." We ended our time there picking a peck of apples (Granny Smiths were the faves) and sipping some apple cider and apple slushies.
After a late lunch stop at Walkers Fried Pies and BBQ, we hit the hiking trails at Amicalola State Park. The weather was beautiful for walking and waterfall-viewing and even a little creek-playing. The evening ended with an RC Cola and a Moon Pie by the reflecting pool and a quick night hike at the base of the falls.
Life is Good.

Maze Madness
After the game, we had more things on our mind like our annual fun day at the corn maze. We had the most beautiful weather and had a great evening walking through the vortex, going on the hayride, bouncing on the jumping pillow, petting the farm animals, eating kettle corn and of course, making our way through this year's corn maze. Fun times, sweet memories!
Mizzou = Boo hoo
Well, our long winning streak is over and it was an ugly game to watch. But onward we will go! At least the breakfast tailgate was fun!
