Sweet Moment
Just had to capture this moment of sweet siblings and cooperation before we headed to the football game tonight!
So nice to be flu-free and flood-free!!!

Parenting 101
For all you new moms out there, here is a valuable lesson I learned today and am sharing with you. No matter how tired or sick you may feel, never, I mean NEVER let your 2-year-old convince you that it is a good idea to fix his own cereal. The hand-eye coordination is simply NOT there (either that or the discipline not to polish off a whole box of junk cereal!)

Brought to you by the letter G!
Georgia football, Grandparents Day, and Greene wedding. What a fun weekend! Friday, my parents arrived for the weekend and after yummy Mexican supper we went to the local high school football game. The kids had a great time and the adults, well, we survived the chaos! I was totally suprised that my once-family-oriented kindergartner wanted NOTHING to do with us and only wanted to go "hang out" with her school friends. Guess I didn't realize it started so young. Saturday, after bumming around in the AM, the grown-ups headed to Bulldog Nation for the first home game of the season, and what a game it was! You gotta love football weekends like this. Sunday, we took Nanny and Papadad out to brunch to celebrate Grandparents Day and later in the afternoon got the wonderful news that my cousin Catherine and her sweetheart, Danny, had had a sweet, romantic (SECRET!) wedding ceremony at the beach this past week. Such wonderful news and we are so thrilled for them! Looking forward to a busy, G-G-GREAT week...

Labor Day
What a busy and fun holiday weekend it has been. Friday after work/school, we jumped in the car and hit the road (with apparently the rest of the state of Georgia) and headed to Sullivan's Island to Nanny and Papadad's new beach house. While our stay was short, we had a great time. Fun mornings on the beach, an afternoon at the pool and a really cool encounter with some manatees. Beautiful weather, yummy seafood and great company!
